As an owner, I prefer low-maintenance & low-overhead micro services based on Docker, Kubernetes, or Functions as a Service, e.g. AWS Lambda.

Nowadays, I focus on the JavaScript/TypeScript/NodeJS eco system, but also maintain legacy code in other programming languages (Python, Java, Scala, C#, etc.) upon request.

I am pretty flexible, but I do have some standard responses to certain questions.

What technologies do you support?

I have experience with most cloud services and programming languages across different business environments. My current focus lies in the JavaScript ecosystem, React apps, serverless architectures, and on AWS.

What clients do you support?

My expertise is best suited for medium-sized to large enterprises with complex challenges. I've worked with clients in the e-commerce, real estate, health sector and financial services industries, among others.

How long are your projects in general?

Project lengths vary, ranging from a few months to over two years, tailored to your goals and needs. I'm also available for one-off projects with your marketing department.

Which roles do you prefer?

I'm comfortable working as an individual contributor, or as team lead - but only hands-on. Teaching, architecture, security audits, project management, etc. can be part of my role, but should not be the focus.

Do you work remotely or onsite?

I primarily work remotely. I'm open to onsite engagements around Hamburg or occasional in-person meetings in other locations.

Any additional skills?

My highest degree is a PhD in Theoretical Mathematics. In addition, I hold a German Master's degree in Practical Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, an American Master's degree in Mathematics, and a German Diploma in Applied Mathematics, specializing in Numerical Optimization and Financial Engineering. I have taught Bachelor-level courses in various subjects at several universities. In my professional roles, I have served as a Scrum Master and Interim Product Owner. I am very well-versed in web psychology, SEO, data protection laws, online business, and marketing. Running my own business, I am also very familiar with all legal and tax aspects involved.
